A Change of Seasons is that kind of album I wouldn't like to buy again: one good but long song isn't for me especially when four other songs are covers and not so well done either. The only cover song I recommend is Led Zeppelin ones "The Rover/Achilles Last Stand/ The Song Remains the Same". A Change of Seasons is same kind of music like in 'Images And Words' album but not so good.

I like this one, it shows the bands varying influences and A Change Of Seasons is an excellent song of epic proportions. If you don't like a band playing somebody else's stuff, don't buy it!!! But for me it was a good listen and I think they did a good job of covering these songs.

This album might be one of the best Dream Theater has done Even though there are only 23 minutes of original music in the form of the epic title track, the band manages to squeeze a ridiculous amount of skill and musicianship into that short period. The best part of the song is, in my opinion, the instrumental opener " The Crimson Sunset", though the album has many other standout points. As for the covers, there aint anything too amazing about them , but they are done quite well and offer an interesting listen. So, if you like Dream Theater ( or even if you dont), you must buy this album.
