Overview

Jon Schmidt draws the listener in with his very intimate style on this latest release A Day In the Sunset. Inspired by the relationships he has with some important people in his life, as well as the landscapes of his home state, Utah, there is a reflective quality in Schmidt's performance of his own melodic compositions like "Longing," "Solace," and "Big Sky Sunset." Even the familiar Kenny G selection "Going Home" takes on a more contemplative aspect.
