A Priest's Dilemma
Simon Smith grows up in New Zealand in the 60's and wants to become a priest instead of the accountant that he is qualified as.

His best mate is Wayne Tangaroa who Simon met on the rugby field in unusual circumstances, challenges his white Catholic values against those of priests who have failed those same values.
Simon is offered a study scholarship in Rome but first the pair must walk the 800km Camino de Santiago in Northern Spain to see whether it can be revived as an international walk to match what it was over 1,000 years ago. They walk with a compromised priest seeking salvation, a naïve priest who believes the doctrine of the church and a donkey. Issues of married priest, abortion, suicide and evolution are argued along with incidents that include finding Wayne's long lost uncle from the war in France bring them Muxia (The End of the World) where their world changes forever.
