A Prince of Their Own: Ours not to reason why, ours but to do and die...
A PRINCE OF THEIR OWN by Sidney St. JamesWith Vincent Gideon retired and living high in the mountains outside Denver, Colorado, the now renowned Bridgit Flynn continues the Gideon Detective Agency's day-to-day services. Bridgit can still remember an earlier case where Vincent let a serial killer, Rosenthall, the first book in the Gideon Detective Series, go free and never over the next twenty years did she ever give him her understanding as to why. She was only twenty years old at the time.Dave Henry, Jonathan Lane, and Stephen Moore were elected as the committee to search out a detective agency to find out and solve a rash of robberies from tenants living in the Riverside Hotel, an exquisite five-star place of accommodations in Black Rock Cove. She had just completed a baffling murder case in the small fishing village of a bank teller two weeks earlier and found the visit of three gentlemen to her office in Portland somewhat surprising so close to her finishing the prior case. After listening to their report on the slippery capabilities of a thief and that no detective firms have been able to solve the case, she begins to put a plan together. Her skillful ability to devise methods that help explain cases came up with a unique plan to give Hans Schedl his first undercover case.Bridgit would go in under cover of Mary Lynn Simpson and watch the case evolve as Hans goes in under cover of Prince Karl Haber of the Duchy of Oldenburg. His first stop was the Regal Hotel, a swanky ski resort for the younger fast-lane crowd. If one looked closely at the flagstone floor, the heating that was hidden underneath would melt any of the finest chocolate one might leave in a sack on the tile. The armchairs were perfectly positioned to watch the skiers and snowboarders come down the mountainside and as they left their equipment outside and trudged in shaking off the snow from their heavy boots. His undercover assignment forced him to first staying at the Regal until he could get his credentials in order before moving to the Riverside Hotel, the only five-star long-term lodging establishment on any of its type on the west coast. Besides, it was there where all the robberies were taking place, and it was there the Prince needed to be to help solve the case!

About the Author

Sidney St. James, Author

Sidney St. James is a popular American novelist, pumping out title after title over the last two decades. His writing career has spanned over forty years including other pen names in different genres.

Synopsis
Sidney St. James was born in Eagle Lake, Texas, in the early 1950's. He wrote his first historical novel in 1972 while attending Texas A&M University called Adversity - Face to Face. Although drafted in the '70's, it was not published until 2005.

After a dozen novels in creative historical nonfiction, he went from his original pen name, Sean E. Jacobs, to Sidney St. James in his writing of The Blue Flaming Sword, a paranormal romance. The novel that kicked off the Storm Lord Trilogy Series was an immediate success and he became a fan favorite, in the process of transforming the paranormal romance genre. This novel was followed up by Nine Months Will Tell and The Three Keys to Apocalypse.

Sidney St. James Emerges

James under his other pen name, Sean E. Jacobs, had a lot of pent-up stories to tell to the reading public. The stories took the form of historical nonfiction. While selling numerous copies, they never made worldwide acclaim. It wasn't until the release of the Storm Lord Trilogy Series that his writing became an instant hit! The series is most exciting, especially in the award-winning final chapter, The Three Keys to Apocalypse - I Believe! His paranormal romance, while done with class and with style, transformed fiction's typical nubile heroines into down to earth realistic characters.

The Best Sellers

Between 2005 and today, James's torrential writing pace has not waned since his release of The Faith Chronicles in 2012. Faith - Seventy Times Seven and Adversity - Face to Face rose into the top ten best-selling novels in the historical nonfiction genre. James, writing in his other pen name, has been invited to write the script for the silver screen for FAITH - Seventy Times Seven, which is a project currently underway.

Recent Releases

James continues to be a prolific author. In 2016, he released The Flaming Blue Sword, Nine Months Will Tell, and The Three Keys to Apocalypse. In 2017, his newest releases are Rosenthall, Gideon Returns, The Transformist, and The Death of a Nobel Prize Winner, plus one other The Phantom of Black Rock Cove. They are all part of the Gideon Detective Series.
