About the Author

J. Marsilius Flumo, born to parents of the Mahn tribe near Sanniquellie in rural Liberia, began his education at a small missionary school. In 1990 during the Liberian Civil War, he escaped to America. Marsilius received a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership/Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. He is a twenty-three-year veteran teacher at John R. Rogers High School in Spokane, Washington and a recipient of the Spokane Bar Association's Law Day USA Liberty Bell Award for community service.
