A Stitch in Time is the origin for Emmett Rogers. Emmett considered a hero, for his actions in Afghanistan, wants to forget the battle there and get on with his life as a police officer. Coming home isn't as idyllic as Emmett hoped, however; his seventeen-year-old sister is pregnant, his father has thrown her out of the house, and his mother is ill. Emmett must now fight the battles on the home front and face his own demons before he can move on with his new life.
