About the Author
GREGORY DJANIKIAN was born in Alexandria, Egypt, and came to the United States as a young boy. He is the author of two previous collections, The Man in the Middle and Falling Deeply into America. His awards include a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Eunice Tietjens Prize from Poetry, and the Anahid Literary award from the Armenian Center at Columbia University. He is director of the writing program at the University of Pennsylvania.
