Having read many of Mr. Albrinck’s previous books I was excited to get a new series going from such a talented author. While I enjoyed the book and am curious about the series and how it plays out I thought this book seemed a lot of rush to not much conclusion. It seemed like perhaps there was a deadline he was trying to meet to get published on time or something. I’ll definitely buy the second book to see how the story plays out. Note: I received a free, advance copy of Activate to provide this review.
I have read all of the Aliomenti saga. I thought they were very good. By the second to last volume, I couldn't wait to read the finale. I am unsure of the new series. It was short, that's for certain. The story is well crafted, but it's too early to see where the author is going with it. I will reserve judgement until I read the next one. Like Tshades said, it kind of leaves you hanging. I don't know if Alex was working on a deadline, but at the end it just - stopped . . . I will read the next one.
kind of have to read this in the frame of mind of watching a movie, then it easy because of the jumping around. i loved this!! cant wait for the rest......
Loved it I received a free copy of Activate in exchange for an honest review. Not because it was free but because the characters were belivable the plot was engaging my only bad thing it ended to soon and left you hanging
