About the Author

Sir Robin Knox-Johnston sailed solo around the world non-stop in 312 days. He later broke further records for the fastest circumnavigation (with Peter Blake) and, in 2007, became the oldest person to complete a circumnavigation, aged 68. He has been Yachtsman of the Year and International Yachtsman of the Year numerous times, and was knighted in 1995.
