About the Author

A failed magician since eighth grade, Ben instead graduated with a film degree from the University of Central Florida. In 2006, he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in filmmaking and over the next few years, his short film work was exhibited in film festivals worldwide, including the 2008 Sundance Film Festival and winning a 2007 Special Jury Prize for experimental short at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

But these creative acts came to a standstill on February 28th, 2008 after testing positive for HIV and sending him into a regressive and inward journey.

On the ten year anniversary of this news, February 28th, 2018, his life changed again when he published his first novel, "Advent of the Roar." A fantasy adventure as part of a larger series of books entitled "The Land Old, Untouched" forming a curious question about what the next decade will bring.
