About the Author

Daisy Mae Spoonamore, USA writer was born in the greater City of Cincinnati....Where The Tyler Davidson Fountain Square known as “The Genius Of Water” is downtown, and The Carew Tower overlooking the Ohio River. Daisy is the second oldest child of five children, actually in time there was six children, down the line. The five children were raised from pillar to post; in Ohio, and Kentucky, and ate poor man’s gravy made of lard, flour, water, and no seasoning. And poor man’s biscuits made of lard, flour, water and leavening other than yeast. Most meals were made from scratch. During her time as a young child, was treated for epilepsy until she was thirteen of age, by the Cincinnati Children\'s Hospital seen by Dr. Phenney. She and her siblings went to several schools, by the time she was in the 11th grade a student at Clermont Northeastern High School in Owensville, Ohio, this is where she meets the love of her life, {he was a foster child along with others) her Valentine Sweetheart and married him for almost 56 years then God called him home from having Bladder Cancer. The couple lived in Cleveland, Vermillion on the lake, then back to Cleveland, Newark, Thornport, Felicity, Williamsburg, back to Newark, Ohio. The couple was blessed with one son {Ron Jr.} two daughters (Debbie Ann and Sandra Mae) and seven grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. Daisy had studied hair at 3-B School of Beauty in Newark, Ohio, and gotten her Cosmetology license 1975. And she worked at a family self-owner restaurant, the Feed Mill in Felicity, plus Daisy had a Novelty and Gift Shop, and her spouse became business partners along with others, until her health felled at the age of fifty-three. Much later the writer made a completely comeback in her Golden Years.
Daisy has participated her hand in writing poetry; while dealing with her health issues. Some of her work became songs. 1. What Would I Do Without Me, when the doctor thought she had MS but she was tested twice; both tests came out to be negative, and was tested to see if she had water on her brain from the doctor at the Cleveland Clinic, which came out to be negative also. That song is on a CD called Hands Across American Vol.11.2. Emptiness inside.3. A Pogo Stick. Three of her works was published in three different poetry books.1. Home Where The Harvest Is.2.Reaching My Triump.3. Dreams. Daisy was awarded with a certificate from the World Publishing Company in Creative Writing Skills.
