About the Author

Janet Cady Zebrack taught primary classes to Native Americans learning English on the Zuni Pueblo reservation in New Mexico, and the Navajo boarding school in Ramah, New Mexico. This graduate of the University of Southern California received a grant from the state of Nevada for teaching science in kindergarten. She was a lead teacher for students from the University of Nevada, Reno, and from Sierra Nevada College. She was selected to teach classes for the annual conference of "Nevada Reading Week." One of her analogy books has been translated into Lao by the former project manager for the nonprofit literacy organization Room to Read in Laos. One thousand copies will be placed in schools all over Laos. She is the author of "Analogies for Young Kids Book 1" (about culture and math), "Analogies for Young Kids Book 2" (about science), and a book for adults, "The Power of Positive Pedaling." Her next book will be titled: "Amazing International Analogies". It is written and illustrated by students in India, China, Germany and the United States.
