Amazing Grace is a true story of a mother who lost her son at a young age 18 and how she survived her grief and became a healthy and productive citizen. The book includes her personal experiances of grief as a diary and is very transparent about her feelings. The writer talks about her coming of age in Ethiopia and the hardships that she and her families suffered under the communist regieme. The author also talks about her loss of a mother as a young girl and how she overcame that. In the chapter Joseph and Jesus the writer paitnts a beautiful picture of The Grand Weiver and how He used Joseph's life to portray Jesus. The writer also talks about her experiances of divorce and single parenthood and argues that the justice system exposes women and children to hardship by not giving them the justice they deserve. The book gives a clear perspective of faith and hope and presents evidence from the bilbe that the life here and now is temporary and the life to come is real and can be grasped through faith.
