Good interaction between characters. Kept my interest to the end of story. Author seemed to rush at end to get all issues resolved but overall I liked this story and its Christian messages. Will look out for more from this author.

lectronic/ read your freebies/ amish read 8/24 It is said that we all have a twin in the world. But can you REALLY be so ferhoodled that you actually change places? Brianna is a 20 something upper middle class girl from New York. Elizabeth is an amish girl embarking on Rumspringa. Elizabeth decides her best option is to leave and live in the Englisher world, and she takes off leaving a note for her intended saying she is sorry. Brianna is believed lost on an international flight that goes down in the Atlantic. However, she has forgotten her passport and IDs, is barred from the plane, and her taxi gets T-boned by a semi, with the driver being killed instantly. Elizabeth is taken to the hospital in a coma with no IDs and when she revives, she has retrograde amnesia. She has no clue who she is or even how she ended up at St. Luke's hospital. She works hard, but is lost as to what comes next. Then she runs into ELIZABETH'S best friend from the amish, who mistakes her for Elizabeth, and brings her "home". The REAL Elizabeth is also running into mistaken identity and starts dating BRIANNA's ex boyfriend who falls hard for her. Mixed up much? You have to be a spoiler in this review, you have no choice....of course the two girls get ensconced in each other's life.... and guessed it.... they find out BRIANNA was not on the plane .... and also find out that.... yea, soap opera time here. You can just imagine what happens. But, it IS an AMISH they all live happily ever after? A very fast read with a bit of a lame premise, but enjoyable enough to finish it. The 3*** s are for its predictability, not for the writing

Reviewed by Joy Hannabass for Readers' Favorite Luke Beiler and Elizabeth Schrock loved each other and were certain to get married. But then why did Elizabeth decide to jump the fence? Carson Welch and Brianna Mitchell were dating, but Carson had found Jesus and Brianna didn’t want anything to do with his religion. But lives changed after Brianna suffered amnesia. She was spotted by someone from Elizabeth’s Amish community, thinking she was Elizabeth. And what did Brianna know, she couldn’t remember? And as the Amish community welcomes their Elizabeth back, everyone was happy, but wondered why had she forgotten everything about the Amish lifestyle. But was it Elizabeth or Brianna now living as Amish? Amish by Accident by J. E. B. Spredemann was a very interesting and compelling story, with two young ladies that looked so identical even their boyfriends and family couldn’t tell the difference, one Amish and one English. One who jumped the fence and was now living as an English lady; the other who died in a plane crash, or did she? As you can see, there is a lot going on in this story. Spredemann does a really good job of weaving the situations between the Amish and English together so that the plot flows smoothly and the story keeps your attention. And this book did keep my attention. I read it in one setting because I wanted to hurry and learn the outcome. I was a little surprised at the ending. I had it figured another way, but that’s really good, because I didn’t figure the plot out until it was revealed. I want to encourage you to pick up a copy of this book to read. If you love Amish fiction, you will find Amish by Accident enlightening, and entertaining. And as always, for me it was nice finding a new Amish fiction writer.

The idea of the story was interesting but could have been longer. Also a little less repetative in parts would have been nice.

“Amish by Accident,” by J.E.B.Spredemann is a great read! This book is very interesting; you won’t want to put it down! Brianna Mitchell is to be on a plane that has crashed, but no one realizes she wasn’t. She was in a tragic accident that left her with amnesia. She feels so helpless and lonely because she cannot remember her former life. An Amish woman comes along and mistakes Brianna for her friend, Elizabeth Schrock. She takes Brianna back to her Amish community with her. However, Elizabeth Schrock is still living in the city but decides to return home to Paradise, PA too. Imagine what happens when there are two Elizabeth Schrocks! You will have to read this book to see what happens next! It definitely won’t disappoint. The author brings the characters to life, making you feel you are right there with them, in this surprising story!

I just really enjoyed J.E.B. Spredemann's book Amish by Accident. The characters of Brianna and Elizabeth were wonderful and it made for a very nice read. Brianna and Elizabeth are two different women, from two different worlds, until their worlds literally collide and they find themselves living in one another's worlds. They look alike and an accident causes some very interesting events to occur. This book was fresh and imaginative. I am very glad that I read it and will be reading more from this author. This book is a good example of family love and unity and forgiveness. I highly recommend this book

Amish Fiction With A New Twist! This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I enjoyed it immensely.   Two young women and two young men make for an interesting read.  Grab a copy of this book and enjoy the journey.  Come see what happens when one young lady is mistaken for another.  It makes for an interesting read. Would you be concerned if a loved one of yours was not a believer nor were they interested in becoming one?  Never give up hope!  This story gives you a chance to see for yourself what trusting in God can do.   I hope to read more inspirational books by this author.  Five stars from me!

Amish by Accident by J. E. B. Spredemann**** Elisabeth Schrock lives with her family in an Amish community in Paradise Pennsylvania. She is dating Luke Beiler and feels sure once they take their “kneeling vows” to join the church, he will ask her to marry him. However, Elisabeth isn't sure she wants to do that. In fact, she is seriously thinking of leaving Paradise..for good. Elisabeth's friend Mattie Riehl lives in New York City, NY and has been asking her to move there and share an apartment with her. So, Elisabeth writes a brief note for her brother to deliver to Luke and leaves for NY. Once in New York she gets her GED and finds employment in a family dental office. Luke Beiler is shocked when Elisabeth's brother comes by his shop one day and hands him a note. Puzzled, he opens the note and is further shocked to learn that Elisabeth has left the Amish community and has no plans on returning. How could she do that and what about him? It has been two years and Luke still dreams of Elisabeth returning to their community and him. He has tried to date other women but his heart belongs to Elisabeth. In New York City, Englisher, Brianna Mitchell hurriedly says goodbye to her boyfriend Carson Welch. She is running late and doesn't want to miss her plane to Germany to visit her friend Heidi. However, at the terminal she finds she does not have her passport or any ID and remembers that she had left her ticket and wallet in the other purse at home; now she will have to reschedule the trip. Frustrated, she hails a taxi to take her back to her apartment. The taxi driver puts the radio on and they hear terrible news, the plane she was to be on had crashed into the Atlantic Ocean and it appears there are no survivors. The taxi driver turns to her causing him to swerve into the other lane in front of an oncoming truck. Brianna wakes up finding herself in the hospital but does not remember how she got there or anything about the accident....not even her name. She learns from the doctor that she has Retrograde Amnesia and will probably not fully recover from it and there is no known treatment. Carson arrives for his first appointment at the dental office where Elisabeth works. When he sees Elisabeth, he is stunned—for a moment he thought it was his girlfriend Brianna who had died in a plane crash some months ago. Elisabeth and Carson find they are attracted to each other and start dating. But is he dating her because she reminds him of his lost girlfriend or does he really care for her—Elisabeth? It's been three months and Brianna is about to be discharged from the hospital, but she has no idea where to go. She frequently visits the nursery to watch the newborn babies, which seem to soothe her. While there an Amish woman gasps when she sees Brianna and calls her Elisabeth. Brianna is overjoyed, finally someone knows her, knows who she is and where she lives. Rachel Brenneman is in NY to help her aunt with her new boppli (baby). She lives in Pennsylvania and is a neighbor to “Elisabeth”. Rachel explains that Elisabeth has family there and they will be happy to see her. So Rachel suggests that she take “Elisabeth” home to her family. What will happen when “Elisabeth” (actually Brianna) arrives home? Will her “family” welcome her and what of the boyfriend Luke, Rachel told her about, will he have married or will he still love her and want her for a bride? Can she learn how to live in the Amish community as she supposedly had before? What of Elisabeth and Carson, will they have a future together? Will the mystery of the two young women who look enough alike to be twins meet? What is God's plans for these two young women and their lives? I enjoyed this book very much. Faith, God's love for us, the love of family and community, hope, love, along with surprising twists and turns and unexpected events are woven throughout the story. I was pleasantly surprised at the ending. ~~I received an e-book copy of this book from the author~~
