About the Author

Rodney Charles L'Huillier has immersed himself in the vibrant cultures of Cambodia and China over two decades. Born and raised in Australia, Rodney travelled the remote regions of Australia at a very young age spending time with indigenous communities, later growing up in the farmlands and going on to pursue a technical career in the Automotive field and later IT. However, his insatiable curiosity and thirst for new experiences led him to embark on a transformative journey through Asia. After a decade of exploring China, enthralled by its rich heritage and Taoist and Buddhist cultures, Rodney would visit Cambodia to see its ancient Buddhist temples. He quickly fell in love with the warm hospitality of the Cambodian people and the enchanting landscapes while finding great peace in the country's Buddhist foundations and culture. After spending time in Battambang and Phnom Penh, he chose to settle in Siem Reap. Throughout his time in Cambodia and China, Rodney has engaged in a broad range of activities. Along with deep historical study, he has undertaken extensive travel, traversing the breathtaking landscapes of both countries, from the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat of Cambodia to the magnificent Great Wall of China. His experiences have allowed him to appreciate the beauty and diversity of Asia firsthand.
