And Then, Nothing Happened!: The Spontaneous Song and Dance of Oya Zen-Rama

This rising sun is an invitation to see the Garden of Eden around us with open eyes--and, with closed eyes, the Kingdom of Heaven within us here and now. The ancient mystics termed this enlightenment Sahaja Samadhi. As Oya Zen-Rama discovers, this profoundly peaceful state is a natural consequence of the stunning insight that, in reality, there's nothing happening!

This collection of verse is an outpouring from the inner voice over a four-year period, from 2013 to 2016. It is a contemporary song and dance about an age-old mystery and a celebration of the journey towards enlightenment and life beyond enlightenment. An interesting, introspective collection of verse, there is something in each poem that relates to us all.

The spontaneous poetry contained herein documents stunning spiritual realizations blow by blow. It offers a new testament to the aliveness of our non-dual reality and the freshness and fun of our inner voice. It is a guide to those walking the path of love and a light celebrating our true nature as we make a courageous leap into enlightened reality.

CHAPTER 1

Burning Up in Red-Hot Love

There's nothing more Beautiful Than the light From the sun And the wind In the trees.

The Essential Satsang Transmission

What is this foolish idea of an identity?
I am nobody in particular
And intelligently response-able To participate and enjoy;
Give "your" self up in the moment!
Sex Talk

Surrender; share yourself.
Take your sweet time.
(As Rumi says, the way you make love Is the way God will be with you!)

This Is a Love Affair

You don't do meditation.
Like handing your body over to a lover Who you have great trust will surprise and please you In far better ways than you know and can do for yourself!

Ordinariness Transformation

"Being seen as brilliant"
It's time to shift focus!

Death

Dissolve Emptiness Abyss Totality Home

Melt and Merge

The giving tree,
This Paradise

I came to be.
There is no greater lover This paradise unknown!
My quest for truth unmatched,
This gift, this beauty, this orange splendour!
The Internal Map to Ecstasy

Hallelujah!
Zazen

Fold it away.
Forgive and forget;
It's not you who will levitate When you rush to educate, And that know-it-all chatterbox Certainly knows not!

There's nothing to do,
Nothing required,

The Blessed Return of Innocence

These are a few Of my favourite things ... to do:

• Dancing barefoot on the grass

• Riding a push bike without hands

• Headstands and handstands

• Listening to ecstatic music

• Colouring in

• Splashing in the bath

• Being naked in nature

• Juggling oranges

• Skipping with the wind

• Swinging in the trees

• Any combination of these together (And then sitting silently — not doing anything!)

That

The start of your favourite song The first sip of your morning coffee The unconditional hug from a parent An afternoon swim on a hot day The touch from your lover The first sip on your evening wine Retiring to bed at the end of a long day The morning sun on your skin The moment before orgasm An uncontrollable belly laugh The tears of joy and forgiveness The moment of epiphany and clarity That!

If Life Is So Simple and So Beautiful ...

Then how have I made it so complicated and miserable?

Consciously see and taste the simple beauty of it, and in turn, you will see the "I" that creates hell for you in simple contrast, in simple comparison. And then begin to witness it; slowly, slowly, you will understand how this "I" functions. In the seeing will be the disappearing. In the disappearing, life's sublime simplicity and elegant beauty will be revealed as the permanent host — eternally here! True happiness, true peace, bliss beyond measure, ever present!

Be calm. Rest in Me.

Enjoy the love I have for you!

Not My Idea to Be Here

What to do with this life?
The Sacred Gateway

Love is The sacred gateway To dhyana ("meditation").

Wakefulness Is sweeter Than any dream!

Bring On Your Own Death

There is only life
Adi Shakti

Try as I may,
Everything/Nothing

What appears to be everything Is actually nothing.
Languor Here

Languor here Be a languorleer!
Rest your bones;
Throw You Overboard

I am the hunter.
Come with me To the sea —
And Then,
"Sweetheart,"
• * *

"Life is sweet,
• * *

"The world is of me,
• * *

"You are bliss —

"Nothing has ever happened,
CHAPTER 2

In the Blue of Oblivion

To be or not to be Is not the question.
I Close My Eyes

At night,
Nirvana

Never-ending Immaculate Radiant Void Absolute Never beginning Absolute

Satchitananda

When the Is (Sat: truth, absolute existence)
Marinating in Bliss Supreme,
Open Your Eyes

If sitting silently With your eyes closed Was absolutely more than enough,
Stratospheric

Last night, the moon was uncomfortably close And the distant stars so near.
The objects around me and within me felt erasable With the swipe of my ...
All was insubstantial like smoke;
But seen as perfectly brilliant,
Twelve Years His Prisoner

God absolutely arrested me And held me prisoner For twelve years Until I fully realised That He was me,
The Tree of Life

I am permanently bowed at the feet,
It lives through this bowed posture;
From the Background

I see you So sweetly,
Metamorphosis

Three days ago,
CHAPTER 3

Return to the Garden,
Life is throbbing One thousandfold With beyond-orgasmic bliss,
All One!

Absolutely all-one —
• * *

The Truth is too good To just be true;
The Garden with Nobody in It

Is this really planet Earth that you're on?
Oh dear ones,
(Somebody has been eating fruit From the wrong tree.)

The Tree of Knowledge

Thoughts, concepts, and knowledge are no problem at all! It's just our investment, our belief in them, our identification with them that send perfectly balanced things topsy-turvy. These are our steps away from reality, existence, and God and out of the Garden of perfect, brilliant stillness — bliss.

Go back! Return to innocence!

Cut the cords of identification. Indeed, no thought is you — why separate yourself from your Self, from your Supreme Bliss? Look at the Tree of Knowledge and its fruits ... but do not eat them! The Tree of Knowledge and its fruits being there, and our looking at them, is of no harm — they are beautiful as they are. It's just the eating, the digesting them as you, that is our mistake and the poison!

(Sex is purely innocent, natural and fun; a celebration of life and "God", and certainly not the forbidden fruit! Our beliefs and ideas about sex, however – like all other phenomenon – is where the trouble starts)

A Flower in This Garden

I am not a person But a flower in this Garden.
One Dancing Abundance

We are bliss Because we are nothing!
Singing a Song of Great Celebration

I feel I am bathed in white light,
I am singing a song of great celebration For all those who would like to drink From this overflowing cup Of divine remembrance!

Totally Fulfilled

I have no personal desires —
Gently Comb

When these eyes are closed,
Not a Hair out of Place

I am not in control;
The Freedom of Your Own Heart Singing

Love has never hurt you;
Life after Life: The Cycle of Life

Dawn Seemingly has no past Even to it!
Twilight Seemingly has no future Even to it!
But night follows day And day follows night.
All illuminated!

Be Still and Know

Be still and know That which is is God!
• * *

Be Still;
The Majesty Dancing

Somewhere in between The mind that thinks it's "doing"
• * *

No separate entity Called the "doer"
I Am

I am the sun that's shining,
Oh Seeker! Oh Teacher!

Seeker, teacher,
Neither, neither,
God Is the Deejay

God is the Deejay; dance without fear.
God is the Enchantment in eyes sparkling so clear.
She is the Event Organiser; applaud Her and cheer.
And God is definitelythe Deejay —
Amazing Grace

A love poem to Osho

Osho, my love! Beloved one,
CHAPTER 4

Dancing in the Light

It's like a thousand fireworks are going off in me, Celebrating each and every new moment!

Forever Dance

I am overflowing,
Non-trying

I'm non-trying For anything!
This! This! A Thousand Times This!

This!
No Where, Nowhere, Now Here

The mind Is under an illusion That it's its job To get you somewhere.

But in reality —
Eaten Alive

The Beloved Swallowed me whole,
These forty days and forty nights in the bush Were Him finishing me off —
There was no escape!
Who Are You?

I say,
Always Party Time!

No time wasted.
(Without hesitation,
You Will Find Me There

Love Loved me Out of existence;
That which you love in me Is within you!
Sky-High

Beyond freedom,
In Bloom

One is totally freed From the judging mind When compassion Flowers.

More Than I Can Hold

I didn't want to ask for too much,
Sing Instead

What to say When there's nothing to say?
Nobody/Everybody

I am the no-thing that's everything That all somethings are in.
Seek me with all your heart and mind!
Not Two

I am not two,
Big Bang

When the heart
What to do But be totally Obliterated!

Say goodbye To
I am Only One

Having This Absolute
