About the Author

Deanna J. Bennett has been writing since she was 8 years old, but it wasn't until she was in her 20's that she had her first publications. Since then she has published management, technical, travel and fine arts articles, short stories, and two novels. She leads the East Lake Writers Workshop, a critique group she founded in 2004. In addition to the "Anna" immigration trilogy, the first mystery novel in a "Murder in the Museum" series is pending publication.
Deanna has a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago, and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. After a career managing military research and development, she now devotes her time to writing and performing with her husband in their acting business.

This book is the second in a fiction trilogy based on her grandmother's immigration that started with Anna: Going to America.
