About the Author

Based in the north of Scotland, Paul Gallagher holds a M.Sc. in ecology and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in geography. As well as being a writer he works as an ecological consultant with three decades of experience working in the environmental sector. His career has taken him from wildlife surveying and wildlife reserve management to policy and advocacy that attempts to influence government decisions that impact on the environment. From this he turned to writing to reach the general public. His ambition is to expand people's minds in the most entertaining and informative way possible through imaginative fiction. Through copious research into everything from the history of the universe to politics, economics, and religion, he has painstakingly constructed an alternative mythology for the twenty-first century.
