Two dozen physically-imperfect youth and adults had been previously and fortunately invited to exile themselves on a lonely, fairy-tale-like and tranquil Anomalous Isle, which is located on a primitive planet in a mysterious galaxy. They periodically visit their old world, Earth, by happily entertaining at the Grand Anomaly, a magical circus.
Dalisay, the only surviving born-resident of Anomalous Isle, is oddly prohibited from experiencing Earth, but the curious teenager breaks the rules and slips through the tree portal. An unwelcomed group of orphans follow her quick return to the isle. This intrusion precipitates a bitter elder to force the youth through challenging obstacles on a dangerous venture to the forbidden mountain on the island to retrieve a powerful portal-closing item. This attempt releases rabid beasts and a creature determined to eliminate all life on the island.
