ANTECEDENT (Before - The Memoir)
This story is True. Names were changed in an attempt to protect the innocent (although very few in number). This is MY story: the unvarnished story of a Convicted & Registered Sex Offender. I write this story, not to glamorize the offenders and the offenses; but to show the true picture and the real world effects of these crimes on society. Today, although we have numerous laws that punish, prohibit, and track the whereabouts of Sex Offenders, for the most part they seem inadequate. This story outlines several reasons why this is the case. Finally, I am writing this book in an attempt to maybe start a dialog about Sex Offenses and finding a different way to deal with this behavior in people. It is my hope that someone will recognize themselves and their behavior while reading. It is my hope that after acknowledging that recognition, some will come to realize that there are others who struggle with the same thing that they suffer from. It is my hope that after reading this, someone will find the courage to get away and/or get help; courage for both Victim and perpetrators. It is my hope that the children are protected.
