All of the lovers who inscribed their initials on a beech tree, our Arbor Mortis, never realized that they were signing their own death sentence. A high school mythology teacher has his students interview the relatives of the the tree carvers and they all come up with the fact that each and everyone of the carvers have been killed by trees. There is one set of initials that still remain a mystery and these seem to be the most recent. What comes to light threatens the life of the teacher and his wife and exposes a dark secret that gives insight into why the tree is cursed.

David Kunkler taught mythology for over 30 years. He has a BA degrees in Philosophy and the Classics and Master degrees in Philosophy and Education. His first book, "The Weatherseer" is the first book in his series "The County Home Companion". "Arbor Mortis" is the second and the third book "Ginsbo" should be published later this year.
