About the Author

Versatile, curious, and enterprising, Tina Capalbo has worn many hats over the years as a high school English and Drama teacher, social media marketer, communications coordinator, youth theatre co-founder and artistic director, and mom. In addition to lesson plans and stories, she has written everything from corporate architectural proposals to film festival educator packs.

Reading nonstop as a child was a welcome escape for Tina. Her love of story craft is anchored in what she has learned from books, writers, and teachers while completing Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees at Western and a Master of Arts degree at Dalhousie. A certified teacher in Nova Scotia and Ontario, Tina has taught in Tokyo, Toronto, London, Halifax, and more recently online. She enjoyed creating the free Teacher's Guide that accompanies this story.

Tina lives in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where she enjoys a good walk, road trips, shows on stage and screen, intuitive tarot reading, painting, design, and, of course, spending time with the people she loves.
