Forgiveness for Aborting a Baby

ABUSE.

For the Abused Person

For the Abusive Person

    Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.... So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.     Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (NIV)

    But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22, 23

accountability.

adultery.

Thou shalt not commit adultery. Exodus 20:14

    "'If a man commits adultery with another man's wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.'" Leviticus 20:10 (NIV)

    But a man who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself. Proverbs 6:32 (NIV)

    Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: but I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Matthew 5:27, 28

    Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery. Luke 16:18

    And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. Mark 10:12

    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind ... shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10

    Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. Hebrews 13:4

    He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. Proverbs 28:13

ALCOHOL.

    Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. Proverbs 20:1

    Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat, for drunkards and gluttons become poor.... Proverbs 23:20, 21 (NIV)

    Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them! Isaiah 5:11

    Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babblings? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes? they that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. Proverbs 23:29, 30

    Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness, and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap. Luke 21:34 (NIV)

ambition.

anger.

    A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control. Proverbs 29:11 (NIV)

    He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated. Proverbs 14:17

    He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding, but he that is hasty of spirit oxalteth folly. Proverbs 14:29

    Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. Psalm 37:8

    A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife. Proverbs 15:18

    Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment.... Matthew 5:21, 22

    A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Proverbs 15:1
