Whether you are a beginner or a long-term witch, you will find something of interest in this book. It is a personal exegesis on the topic of witchcraft and witches, but holds much that you may find has bearing on your practice and the journey of your Craft. It is based in folkloric, Sabbatic, and modern traditional craft, so it DOES deal with the Folkloric Devil and the Queen of the Witches, sending forth the spirit, and necromantic techniques. This is not a book on Wicca or from a Wiccan perspective, though Wiccans may also find it interesting and perhaps useful.

This 2nd edition has a clearer description of the Devil of the Witches, expanded discussions on Hedgecraft and Necromancy, and a more nuanced Introduction. There is plenty of new information to interest even those who have read and enjoyed this book in its first iteration.

About the Author

Kamden S. Cornell is an author and educator living in Albuquerque, NM. They have been practicing magic since childhood, as both of their grandparents were occultists. In the early 90s they dived into witchcraft and have been practicing in one form or another since then, though their path has been largely solitary. They owe a great deal to authors and personalities like Gemma Gary, Aaron Oberon, and Daniel Schulke, but also Doreen Valiente, Gerald Gardner, Robert Cochrane, and Cecil Williamson.
