Artist's Conception
Things put together in Gabriel's mind eventually appear in reality. Sometimes it happens by craft, as did the fiefdom he built in present-day Wyoming. It also happens by miracle. Nothing else could explain the presence of Banford, young, beautiful and dangerously intelligent. The day he meets the woman of his dreams, our modern-day feudal lord also encounters a junk-yard troglodyte named Mad Dog, who hates Gabriel instantly. Determined to humble Gabriel, Mad Dog becomes obsessed with a course of ruin where nothing is sacred and no one, especially the lord's lady, is safe.

About the Author

Daniel Sandoval is an idealistic fool. He attended the University of Wyoming for four years because he was "curious," but he never even checked on whether he qualified for receiving a degree. When others are building careers, he was the stay-home parent for both of his children during their formative years. He said that his kids getting a good start was more important than anything he could put on his resume. He went on to work in journalism as a letters editor for a newspaper and then later as a radio newscaster and reporter. Perhaps driven by foolish idealism, his friends refer to him as a scholarly monk because he spends most of his time involved in art projects, visual and literary.
