About the Author

René Goscinny was a French comics editor and writer best known internationally for the comic book Astérix, created with illustrator Albert Uderzo, for his work on the comic series Lucky Luke with Morris (considered the series' golden age), and for Iznogoud with Jean Tabary. Matthew Fitt is a published novelist and poet as well as a translator. An acknowledged expert in the field of Scots language education, Matthew has written numerous children's books and has translated a number of titles into Scots, including Roald Dahl's The Eejits and Geordie's Mingin Medicine. Alberto Aleandro Uderzo is a French comic book artist, and scriptwriter. He is best known for his work on the Astérix series, but also drew other comics such as Oumpah-pah, also in collaboration with René Goscinny.
