The Athenian Constitution by Aristotle

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) was a Greek philosopher, a student of Plato and teacher of Alexander the Great. He wrote on many subjects, including physics, metaphysics, poetry, theatre, music, logic, rhetoric, politics, government, ethics, biology and zoology. Together with Plato and Socrates (Plato's teacher), Aristotle is one of the most important founding figures in Western philosophy. He was the first to create a comprehensive system of Western philosophy, encompassing morality and aesthetics, logic and science, politics and metaphysics. Aristotle's views on the physical sciences profoundly shaped medieval scholarship, and their influence extended well into the Renaissance, although they were ultimately replaced by modern physics. In the biological sciences, some of his observations were only confirmed to be accurate in the nineteenth century. His works contain the earliest known formal study of logic, which were incorporated in the late nineteenth century into modern formal logic. In metaphysics, Aristotelianism had a profound influence on philosophical and theological thinking in the Islamic and Jewish traditions in the Middle Ages, and it continues to influence Christian theology, especially Eastern Orthodox theology, and the scholastic tradition of the Roman Catholic Church.

About the Author

Aristotle was born in Macedonia in 384 bc. For twenty years he studied at Athens in the academy of Plato, before becoming tutor of the young Alexander the Great. When Alexander became king of Macedonia in 336, Aristotle returned to Athens and founded his own school and research institute, the Lyceum. Aristotle fled to Calcis in 323 in the aftermath of Alexander's death, where he died a year later.

The teenaged girl appeared about three feet off the ground. One second there was nothing there and next second she was. Of course after she appeared she subject to gravity again and so she dropped those three feet to the grass in a not so stylish fashion. "Well hmph," she muttered.

the athenian constitution was very interesting as part of a study of the history of democracy as it unfolded in ancient greece. some may be disappointed that a morjority amoung 5000 was the penultimate achievement rather than a vote of the general population, yet i believe for it's time this was quite an achievement. the ebb and flow of democracy across centuries in ancient greece is chronicled along with brief descriptions of athens great leaders and their defining issues. my greatest disappointment with the book was it's brevity and i found it quite a short read. for any one concerning themselves with the history of democracy this is a must read.

A petite brunette walked in the camp shyly. Her soft hazel eyes glanced around at her surroundings as she smiled. " I hope father will be right about me having fun and meeting new friends... " she said quietly and put her waist length hair in a ponytail

Mikoda wanders into camp, having been gone almost a year. So long, and now so empty. His bright blue eyes look around, black hair tied back in a cue.

The tall male stepped onto camp grounds and walked an imaginary path towards a bench. His head was tilted down, making his thick blond hair flop down over his forehead to shield his eyes. His hands were placed firmly in the pocket of his red hoodie as he sat down. He took a deep breath before raising his gaze slightly, his light blue eyes scanning over the area around him.

Okay, brahs... It's time for me to give my little going away speech or whatever... But... Uhhhh? It's no surprise this place is dying..... Drastically.. So Gokun's packing his sh<_>it and leaving. So, see y'all later? And hope we meet again? Anyways, I'm gonna say goodbye to my people's and give words of encouragement and stuff.*cough cough* Rayne-San! My fu<_>cking brother! I don't know of you'll see this... But I'm gonna miss ya.. You were a awesome sibling and a even better friend. You helped me make friends and other stuff I'm too lazy to type but you know what I mean. Keep being cool. Aqua... Aqua... Jeez, You were an awesome twin sister, and a extremely funny, strong, and just overall adorable person to be around. You even managed to get Gokun into a tuxedo. Stay cute. -_- Remi.... Don't know of you'll see this.. But... Fu<_>ck you. Hal.... It's the same for you.. Chris.... The ones that's dating Pheonix... My Eternal Rival, stay awesome and strong... Because if I return I'll need someone to spar with. Pheonix:You are awesome. You were always there for me and provided first aid for Gokun and others. Still a awesome fighting partner. Xentres: Another great sparring partner... You are awesome and keep being awesome and weird. Hana:Bruh... You were a cool friend, one that was understanding and fun to be around... Sorry we couldn't catch up and stuff. Xavier:-_- *head shake* Nico: You dark emo, slightly happy weirdo. I'ma miss you and your slightly idiotic antics. Well.. I think I pretty much covered everybody I fu<_>ck around with.... So all I got left to say is it was a awesome experience to meet you all, fight, argue and stuff. And pretty much fully develop the character you know as Gokunai Steele. Or Gokun. How long has it been? Seven years? But still, when Gokun arrived in 2011, He was like what? Fourteen? But anyways. He developed, made friends, enemies and yada yada. Risen to the top, kinda sorta.... And was for awhile the strongest person here... Kinda sorta. So... I sincerely hope you guys find a way to fix this camp. And save NOOK Roleplay. Then we can have fun and recall old times. I'll see y'all later. Love, from Gokun, the lovable idiot, whose roleplayer is simply names Dylan. Ta-Ta!
