Overview

No film or television program would be complete without co-stars and supporting players. This book pays homage to those 600 individuals who acted with Audie Murphy in his 44 films and 29 television episodes from 1948 through 1969. I hope you enjoy learning more about those hard-working men, women, and children who were honored to work with America's most decorated soldier on the big and small screen. This book also has four forewords. Two of those forewords are by two of Audie Murphy's co-stars, Michael Dante and Jan Merlin. Another foreword is by Sue Gossett, author of The Films and Career of Audie Murphy and Now Showing. The other foreword is by Audie Murphy's sole surviving sibling Nadine Murphy-Lokey!

About the Author

David Alan Williams became an Audie Murphy fan early in life, as his mother would only let him stay up late when there was an Audie Murphy movie on the late show and she would let him watch it with her. His mother, being a movie fan, named him after David Janssen. His middle name was almost Audie, but Alan Ladd died just before he was born and since his mother was an Alan Ladd fan also, his middle name was Alan instead of Audie.
David has traveled through thirty-three states and has lived in eleven of them, but currently lives with his wife of twenty-four years, four daughters, three cats, and one dog in L.A. (Lower Arkansas). His wife Deborah is a math teacher and yearbook sponsor at their local high school.
