About the Author

Nikki Scott, originally from the north of England, started a career as an advertising executive in 2006. Quickly disillusioned with the corporate world, she left the UK only two years later to embark upon a solo-backpacking trip across Asia. This trip marked the beginning of the most important transition in Scott's life.

In 2009 she founded the first in a series of travel magazines, South East Asia Backpacker Magazine. Since then, she has lived on three continents and written extensively on travel as lifestyle, backpacker philosophy and the entrepreneurial spirit. Her book "Backpacker Business" tells of the adventures of running a business in Southeast Asia and shares some of the more personal challenges she's faced along the way. She currently lives in Barcelona, Spain with her boyfriend.
