About the Author

Cathy Brookins was born in Toul-Rosières Air Base, France. Her father, TSgt Keith Koontz, served in the US Air Force and the family moved every two to four years. Cathy feels this is why she loves to travel and truly believes there is always a great adventure around the next corner. She lives in Burlington, North Carolina, with her husband Sean, to whom she has been happily married for over 30 years. They have three sons: Aaron, Keith and Paul.
