This is only the second MC book series I’ve read and it definitely has one of the most INTENSE, BRUTAL prologues I’ve ever read. Keller is running from her past and doesn’t allow herself to get close to rom his past also. The book is written in past and present chapters and we get to see the life she was born into, her struggle to make a better life for herself and what those choices cost her. I loved her relationship with Holden when they were kids. Even though I don’t agree with his choices as an adult or things he did to Keller, you know it came from his love for her, even if at times it seemed twisted. The blurb really intrigued me and I was expecting some really nasty stuff to happen. IDK if it’s because I’ve been desensitized to brutality by other books I’ve read, but nothing really shocked me. I am not trying to downplay anything that happened to Keller because honestly IDK if I’d be able to survive what she did and I would 100% recommend reading this book.  - “I don’t have control over whatever this is between us and I don’t have a f*n right to take it further. What am I supposed to do when you are the only reason that matters anymore?”

One of the best books I've ever read! A totally beautiful, raw, yet terrible story that draws you in and doesn't let go. Keller struggles so hard to be free and Holden struggles equally as hard to make her love him. A truly beautiful story. I will definitely look for more from this author.

Great book only reason I did not give five stars is because it is a novella. Can't stand that! Bought it not knowing that. Great read! Loved the story line so far. Really can't wait to see more in this series just wish it was in one book not many small bits and pieces. Hurry up with more! :)

This is a heart wrenching tale of a young woman trying to escape her past. Words cannot describe the raw emotions that went through me reading this story. This is definitely an ugly cry read.

It took me a few days to actually come up with what I wanted to say about this review. Nicole Reed had me from the word go. The first chapter was so powerful and intriguing that I couldn't put the book down. I HAD to know what happened. And I loved every second of it. Helen Rudder was forced into a life she didn't want from a young age. She became a part of her father's MC Club by force. Refusing to live a life she doesn't want she runs away and became Keller. She is constantly on the move. The rules are simple: 1. No tattooing 2. Keep moving, never stay in a place longer than necessary 3. Never speak of what she knows 4. When and if she is brought back she belongs to him Keller makes a life for herself but starts getting to comfortable with the people around her. She makes friends and finds those who truly care about her even with her keeping her past a secret. But this time she's stayed too long. There are still people looking for her. Some she has no idea about. Now she is going to pay for her mistake. There was a twisted love triangle going on in this one. Holden Ward has been with Helen since she was a child. They were best friends growing up and all he ever wanted was her. All he saw was her. Everything he did was for her. Because what he did best was love her. Even if she didn't feel the same. It didn't matter. He was blind to how she truly felt. Then you have mysterious Vin. He shows up one day in Keller's (Helen) tattoo shop. There is an instant attraction between Keller and "Vin" that neither of them can deny. She puts him off at every turn. She knows she should run. Especially when he starts asking her questions about her past, but for some reason she just can't make herself go this time. Just when Keller begins to believe she can have the life she truly wants things begin to crumble around her. The past is catching up to her faster than she thinks. I loved Keller from the beginning. She was so much stronger than she thought she was. She was a fighter who refused to live her life by the rules of others. The ink on her body represented so much more than art for her. They were memories that she carried with her no matter where she was. There were some twists and turns on this one that had me on the edge of my seat. I liked that I couldn't immediately guess where the storyline was going.

Nicole Reed never disappoints with her book... A book worth reading. A rolller coater ride of hurt, love, tears and strength.. I really rooted for Holden but loved Luke also. Who to chose! Helen was unbelievable strong. Will reread this like I've reread your other books. LOVETOREAD

This was a pretty good book...not really my favorite...but I'm not big on motorcycle gang type stuff. I would recommend this book for those who really enjoy that type of thing.
