Overview

Heart's 1980 release, BEBE LE STRANGE, signaled a new era for the band. While their tough rock sound remained intact, longtime guitarist Roger Fisher had quit prior to the album's recording. But Fisher's split from the band didn't change Heart's direction; other top rock acts of the '70s may have dabbled with other musical forms upon entering the '80s, but Heart remained straight-ahead rockers, as proven by such tracks as "Even It Up" and the title track. Although BEBE LE STRANGE was another success, rocky times would be ahead for the band.
