About the Author

Richard Bard draws on his own experiences as a former USAF pilot and cancer survivor to craft compelling characters who risk it all for love and loyalty. Born in Munich, Germany, to American parents, he joined the United States Air Force like his father. But he left the service when he was diagnosed with cancer and learned he had only months to live. He earned a management degree from the University of Notre Dame and ran three successful companies involving advanced security products used by US embassies and governments worldwide. Now a full-time writer, he lives in Redondo Beach, California, with his wife and remains in excellent health.

Another exciting read. I started with the first book in the series and have read the second also. This third book is just as good as the first two. The drama that started in the second book continues in this book. I like how we continue to learn about the characters as their personalities unfold. I especially like the children who are included in the story. I will be reading the rest of the books in this series.

I fell in love with the series when I read books 1 and 2 back to back.  I had impossibly high expectations when I started reading book 3.  To the point where I was nervous... worried that the third installment couldn't possibly live up to my lofty expectations.  Especially after waiting a year for the latest release. All of my worries were for nothing.  Book three was a smash hit that managed to surpass my expectations in every possible way.  It was an action packed thrill-ride from beginning to end.  But maybe even more impressively, the way book three ties into the events and characters from the earlier releases actually managed to pull at my heartstrings.  While the book was an action thriller, it had more than a few touching moments that were brilliantly written. Five stars.  Bring on book #4!  I can't wait!

In this third book in the Brainrush trilogy, Jake Bronson awakens with no memory of who he is. He finds himself, once again, in the clutches of an evildoer who plans to destroy mankind and set up a new world utopia from the ashes. Of course, nothing ever happens as planned in a Richard Bard story so, without giving anything away, Jake and his friends and family find themselves in one impossible situation after another. Their survival, and that of all humanity, depends on each others' skills and willingness to do the impossible. I love the nonstop action in these books. Just when you think Jake's group has survived one crisis, another one rears its ugly head. You just have to keep on reading to find out how they get out of each one. This book, and the two earlier ones, are real treats to any reader who enjoys suspense with a heady dose of science fiction. I highly recommend them.
