About the Author

Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada is in the line of the greatest Gaudiya Vaishnavas such as Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Maharaja, His spiritual master, who is directly descending from Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada is the founder Acharya of the international society for Krishna consciousness, [ISKCON]. He has translated and written numerous books on the Vedic science of Bhakti Yoga. He has opened temples and centres all around the world, and introduced millions to Krishna consciousness. Srila Prabhupada's spiritual master, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur, was the leading proponent of Krishna consciousness in India during the early part of the twentieth century. He specifically taught the philosophy of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the divine avatar who revived Krishna-bhakti all over India in the 1500s.
