This psychological horror is based on a tale of how it might have affected him and those close to him.

I loved that we had such great sensory descriptions in this. I especially loved how you played with smell. Smell and taste tend to be the most neglected senses in books. So I loved that when Thatch stepped out of his cabin and could smell the salt, tar, and rum in the air, I was instantly transported to the setting of the book.
