Blame Your Resume
Blame Your Resume is a step-by-step manual for the resume writing process (whether you have written one before or not), as well as for the other aspects of job hunting, like writing a cover letter, going through a job interview, or maintaining a professional online presence. Ideal for a job market reshaped by the pandemic.

This book isn't necessarily going to tell you what you want to hear. It might even contradict some of the preconceived ideas you have about resumes that are ingrained into your subconscious. But that is likely what you need to make an exceptional resume that will stand out from the rest. It also doesn't get lost in complicated explanations; it goes straight to the point. So you can start learning how to build a resume right away.

The book includes:
All you need to know about why some resumes work and others don't.
Explanations of how resumes are screened.
Strategies for writing tailored resumes.
Explanations of how recruitment software (often called bots) work and how to adjust your strategies accordingly.
Examples for each section of a resume.

About the Author

Ernesto J. Luna is an award-winning educator with over 13 years of experience teaching around the world. His first master's degree was in Business Administration. He started in the world of business working for Fortune 500 companies and later transferred this experience to the public sector. Ernesto began his teaching journey as a volunteer English as a second language (ESL) instructor. It was then that he discovered a passion for teaching.

Motivated by that experience, Ernesto decided to expand his knowledge as an educator. He earned a second master's degree, this time in Adult Education and Human Resources. By the time he had finished the program, Ernesto had a full-time teaching job, thereby fully converting his business career into an academic one. Since then, he has had the opportunity to teach in different countries, including Slovakia, Morocco, Mexico, and of course, here at home in the U.S., both online and in a traditional classroom setting. Although his expertise is in both professional development and training and instructional design, he also enjoys teaching languages, business, and marketing courses.

Ernesto believes that everything he teaches needs to have meaning to his students. This is why he devotes uncountable hours to preparing classes and workshops to tend to his students' specific needs and learning styles. Even though the author has a busy life between his classes, a family of four, and his cooking hobby, he still finds time to do volunteer work teaching and helping others achieve their professional goals.
