Overview

You know how it is, when you hear a song that you haven't heard for a very long time and suddenly, memories of people and places come rushing back to the forefront of your mind?

Well this is a collection of some of the songs that do that for me. Each of them reminds me of a time of my life that makes me laugh, cry or cringe.
From the No. 1 song on the day that I was born, through the fashions and music of my school years and teens, my family, my five years living in Turkey, right up 2014: this is my first soundtrack!

About the Author

Kym Frederick grew up in Surrey, England. A child of the 1960's & 1970's, she is of a generation who take their pop music very seriously!

She has always been eager to try out and learn new skills and hobbies, from dancing and singing, to acting, living abroad and writing. In fact, she makes it her mission to do something every week that she has never done before.

In 2007, Kym and her husband, Rob, moved to Akbuk, a small town in Turkey, where they stayed for five years.
During that time, Kym was one of the founder members of an ex-pats crazy comedy group, "Akbuk's Got."
She spent much of her time in Turkey, raising money to care for sick and neglected street dogs and cats.
Kym and her husband and two rescue dogs currently live in a small village in South Wales, where she works as a wedding DJ and volunteer at Newport City Radio.
