Overview

Want to teach your children that following their passions and being kind are more important than winning? And who doesn't like people-sized red jellybeans who like sleds?

Bobsleigh Jellybeans is a light-hearted story about friendship, teamwork, imagination, and following dreams. Its colourful, vibrant, playful illustrations quickly capture the attention of children, and are enjoyed by adults with creative imaginations too!

The book was inspired by the kindness, determination, and humour of four gentle big men, who became friends with our family in the winter of 2008-2009, as they trained in Whistler with the Canadian Bobsleigh team in the run-up to the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Enjoy sharing a positive message with your children, while you learn a little about the quirky sport of bobsledding!

About the Author

Paul Shore is a technology industry veteran who has worked around the globe. His drive to embrace new challenges has seen Paul involved in a variety of pursuits. After the software startup he was with in France was acquired by computer chip maker Broadcom in 1999, Paul returned to Vancouver and led the company's voice-over-internet group for years. Marrying a talent for business with a passion for sport and community, Shore pursued a role in the world of sports and spent an inspiring, and at times physically risky, few years working for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games. He has also regularly dedicated energy to volunteerism, while living in Whistler with his wife and children and exploring the mountains and ocean of the coast.
