Lexie Greene has always had such a pretty face.
Unfortunately, that's where it seemed to stop. She's grown up hearing her Mother constantly remind her that she needs to lose weight. And twenty-two-year-old Lexie knows she's overweight.
With her younger sister's wedding on the horizon and a crush to stalk on Facebook, Lexie's had enough. She gives up her constant daydreams about food and joins a dieting group. As the pounds melt away at the gym, she finds that life on the other side of junk food isn't what she thought.
Bon Bons to Yoga Pants is an inspirational hit about a girl coming to terms with herself, and her past, all while navigating a world of food and fitness.

I am 49 and have been fat my entire life. On 2/29/2016, I started day one of my new "healthier" lifestyle. This book struck a huge chord in my heart. I truly saw much of my excuses in eating with Lexie. I also have only and always seen the weight of my body and the numbers on the scale as who I truly am, not what was inside. Embarking on my own journey prior to reading this book means the world to me, but Lexie's story belongs to so many of us out there who struggle with body image. I really needed Megan's comments to Lexie. Megan would be the ultimate friend and workout buddy. This wonderful story really opened up my eyes and gave me much to reflect on. I am doing well with my healthy lifestyle changes and feel great so it makes this book even that much better because I can relate. I also gave up diet soda cold turkey like Lexie so enjoyed the parts about the love affair with DDP!! This is a must read for anyone making this decision to become healthy. Will for sure recommend this to anyone who will listen to me praise this inspirational story. Lexie is the best. I laughed and cried throughout this book.

Bon Bons to Yoga Pants (The Health and Happiness Society) by Katie Cross. Lexie is flawed, insecure and unhappy, but she is determined to improve her life. While it isn't always (or even often) easy, she DOES. And in doing so, she is the role model young women need today more than ever. At its heart, BBtYP says if you belief in yourself, you can change your life, and the key to happiness lies not out there in the world or from the approval of others, but rather within. And it's okay to be imperfect. One book probably can't counteract the deluge of negative messages young women are bombarded with from popular culture...but it's a good start. G.S. Jennson

I like to skim through the free Nook books, reading things whether they seem interesting and well-written or not. Sometimes the "not" can be quite amusing. So when I picked up a sissy looking weight loss story, something I would never ordinarily go for, I certainly wasn't expecting it to turn out so well.<p>While it's nothing epic or groundbreaking, if you're looking for a thoroughly satisfying character arc and story, read this. The writing is good, with only a couple spelling mistakes. Characters are likeable and easy to become attached to, especially as the story goes on. There's no fancy plot or ideals here. Those are all well and good of course, but this is a solid little common sense narrative which I highly recommend you try. And as a bonus, there is no swearing or sex for people concerned about that sort of thing.

I never read this version of the story, but I did read it on wattpad. The journey that the main character goes through in this book is wonderful and reminds you to never give up on your goals. Its a perfect read for the new year. The characters are relatable and funny. Another book by this author called "First Dates to Lifting Weights" is also very good. In my opinion its better than this one.

I loved this book! I found it at a time in my life where I was feeling down about my weight and it helped give me the motivation I need to get back on track.

Bon Bons to Yoga Pants is one of those books that just makes the reader nod their head and say "yeah. Totally. I get that." I have lived many of the experiences that Lexie had in this story, and if was quite refreshing to see how she dealt with them. She went through quite a physical metamorphosis throughout the book, yet on the inside, was still the insecure young woman from before her journey. She had to keep journeying to complete her transition. Lexie Green is relatable, funny, and insecure. She is an overweight college student who is obsessed with the guy she met online. She is not sure what he looks like, but he is a jock and she is sure he is toned and buff. She assumes she will never meet him in real life, she assumes wrong. With her sister's wedding coming up, she is convinced by her mother's overweight friend to start going to the gym with her as well as watching her calories. She begrudgingly agrees. This is the first step in her transformation journey. The most important thing that Lexie learns is that you can't change for someone else, or for some extrinsic reason, it has to be for you. Lexie has a lot of issues that she has to deal with, specifically the death of her father, before she can become the person she is meant to be. The story starts off being about her weight, but it is so much more. Following Lexie's journey is inspiring, tear jerking, and hilarious. Most people, whether young or old, male or female, can relate to the feeling of not measuring up or not always getting along with your family. This is an uplifting story about finding yourself, deciding what you want out of life, and making the plans and/or changes you need to be happy, successful and yourself. Lexie is my hero.

Most romances have things that just don&rsquo;t usually happen in real life but I felt this on another level. It&rsquo;s a really good read and I&rsquo;m glad I read it.

I could definitely relate to the main character that's what grabbed me.... her inner dialogue was really funny. Being in the beginning curve of health and fitness it gave me a boost to keep at it. Loved It!

I know that the moral of the story is probably about how you don't need validation from others and how you should love yourself, but honestly I was too annoyed with the main character to enjoy the message in the story. She is far too obsessed with this guy and it almost seems childish and immature. I understand that the author was trying to make her relatable but instead she came off as annoying. The book is too cookie cutter and basic, with no surprises. I wouldn't recommend it, but that is just my opinion.

Nothing too heavy but fun and easy. Quick read that kept me interested. Might read the next one too.
