Book of Spells is a book full of poetry that is meant to educate the Witch. It is often that the Spirits speak in rhymes, and when they do more Truth comes through. When the Spirits speak in rhymes to me, the author Valkyrja, it is that these rhymes can often be applied in numerous places all at once. Speaking in rhymes and riddles, Spirit plays our heart strings like fiddles- I love having more than one meaning, and deeper meanings, in every message that the Spirits of Love & Elevation bring to me. This Spell Book could be read multiple times through and give new meanings for you each time you read and speak the poems. I wrote this book at a time in my life where I was coming out of some deep darkness, I was facing enemies, and going through big bounds of protection both magickally and physically. These spellings reflect those learnings, and teach about protecting oneself through the magick of Love. I also in this book write about deconstruction work. It is, in my opinion, important as an American Witch to continue the work of deconstructing the harm and malice that is rooted in parts of this Nation's history- both ancestrally, and systemically. Some of the Tools I use to deconstruct malice Magick are found in the spellings of this Spell Book. Mostly this book is meant to protect it's words and meanings through the form of poetry. To educate yourself as a Witch means there are naturally going to be secrets that you keep. "To keep it secret is to keep it sacred," as my Spirits of Love & Elevation have taught me. By educating through poems, you align in Your Spirit the meanings that you need to hear at the time you are reading. Poetry is a powerful magickal Tool, not only does it amplify our words as Witches but it also amplifies our Magick, Understandings, and Weavings.
