Most Helpful Customer Reviews
The team of Clarke and Hunt, both Annapolis locals, score big with their first effort in BOOMER EXPLORES ANNAPOLIS. It follows the lovable dog Boomer as he gets lost in one of America's most historic cities, finding mischief (and food) while staying a few steps ahead of Bridget, a little girl who misses and loves him very much. In the end, the story has a happy ending, and along the way the reader learns all about the town that is Annapolis. The main characters are modeled on Clarke's own family, and the whole project started from a game she used to play with her children to teach them about their hometown. Add in Hunt's colorful and eye-catching illustrations, and you have something your children will be asked be read to them again and again (we've had the book a day and a half; my daughter has demanded it three times!). Wonderful book for locals and anyone familiar with Maryland's capital to share with their children.
