This is a fantastic read! If you want to simply sit and enjoy people, relationships and WWII flying action, I would highly recommend this book.

365 pages. I enjoyed the story and description of rural life during WW II. I thought the story a little slow but I still recommend. The one drawback is this is the first in the series. The story stands alone and has a good stopping point but the war is still going on,so I will have to read the other books to see if their dreams come true.

I loved this story. If you are looking for smut, this is not the book for you. I felt like I was a part of the island of Innisbraw. I can still picture the colorful wildflowers, sandy beach, and rocky hills. Elspeth was the oldest and wisest woman on the island. She prayed for each person by name, and was Rob's teacher of the Scots and Gaelic languages. Hugh was the pastor of the kirk, and became one of Rob's many friends. I was hoping that Una would have a change of heart, but she only grew more savage in her behavior. Rob's and Maggie's love for each other was so deep and pure. I was pulling for their match from their first meeting. I highly recommend this book for your reading pleasure.
