About the Author

Larry Clark has spent most of his life in education in one form or another. After years teaching at High Point Central High School and Western Piedmont Community College in North Carolina, Clark was given a series of prominent positions at WPCC: chair of the Department of Social Studies, Director of the Social and Behavioral Sciences Division, Director of Planning and Development, and finally Dean of Planning and Research. Recently, he founded the Irish Creek Associates, a management consultant firm for education, public agencies non-profits to assess planning systems and program evaluation, staff development, fund-raising and marketing in 19 organizations throughout North Carolina and Florida. He has served as columnist and published author with a host of articles to his credit. He has also been a member of several prominent historical organizations in the communities within Burke County.
