About the Author

Elizabeth Bowes came to the US in 1953. A writer since childhood, she didn't try to publish anything she wrote until she retired in 1988. Since then she has written and published two books of poetry, an e-book (Payback) a children's story (The Mystery of the Cat in the Well) and the Killaire trilogy of which Burnley Cross is the third part. Although she works on something every day, she still has time enough to be active in the community. She lives with her cats, Mickey and Leo, in Malvern, Pennsylvania.
