About the Author

Cathy Warner holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University and serves as Literary Editor for Image Journal's "Good Letters" blog. A former United Methodist lay pastor, her poems and prayers have appeared in publications by the Upper Room, and her short stories and essays have appeared in print and online literary journals as well as several anthologies. A Californian for fifty years, Cathy now lives in the Puget Sound where she writes, edits, leads writing workshops, and renovates homes with her husband of 31 years through their business Yellow Ribbon Homes. Cathy enjoys knitting, photography, ocean kayaking, cat wrangling, Washington wines, and visiting her two officially-grownup daughters. Burnt Offerings is her first book. She is donating 10% of her royalties to support the Orca Network's efforts to save the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales in Puget Sound.
