Overview

After wandering through the valley of despair...facing trauma. I stumbled upon baking and it saved my life.

"Altreisha's vivid, candid and open account of her life experiences and how her work has provided healing is a story worth reading. What struck me most throughout my reading of this book was how her determination and her mother's affirmations made the difference in her life. She chronicles the remarkable life she is living after moving to the United States but showed how her humble beginnings in Golden River and her life in Spanish Town Jamaica shaped her and spurred her on to achieve high levels of success in spite of the obstacles that threatened to derail her efforts. It's relatable for those who have risen above a difficult childhood. It provides a sense of community and how our numerous acts of selflessness can positively impact someone's life and transform its trajectory. It's about family, faith, forgiveness, fortitude and reframing our traumatic experiences to foster healing and growth. This book will provide hope to girls who are on their journey to healing, community for women who have overcome, and clarity for those seeking to unearth meaning from their passions. You will be inspired by her faith, her mindset and her generosity in spirit."
