In the 2nd installment in the Killing Gods series Syd sets out to the sea with her kids to discover her powers and find that elusive Caribbean island which haunts her dreams. I loved the flow of this book, the suspense, the family dynamic and especially Syd's clandestine trips to the catacombs to dig for knowledge and ancient maps. Hopefully the identity and cause of Syd's pursuers will be revealed in the next books. "I didn't have a gun. I never felt like I needed to have one. I had me." - loved it!
