Overview

Cameron by Lane McFarland

Determined to band Scots together against English tyranny, Laird Robert Graham seals a truce with his feuding neighbor, the MacDougalls. But after his brother is nearly killed in a treacherous attack, Graham kidnaps the laird's daughter in an act of revenge.
Cameron MacDougall has devoted her life to the healing arts. She's long rebelled against her father's feuding ways, but when Robert Graham abducts her, she's finds herself at the center of the dispute between their families. She expects the anger she feels, not the simmering attraction to the powerful warrior, or the love she develops for his clan.
Can she stop further violence between the clans with her escape? Or will she find her surrender leads to a lasting peace and her own heart's desire?

Cameron is the first book I've read by Lane McFarland, but won't be my last. Ms. McFarland has delivered a well-written book. The characters are amazing. I love them. Cameron is a healer and is abducted by the neighboring clan as revenge. Robert's clan was attacked after Cameron's father sealed a truce. Robert and Cameron's story is full of drama, humor, action, suspense and sexy bits. Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down. I enjoyed reading Cameron and look forward to reading more from Lane McFarland in the future. Cameron is book 1 of The Daughters of Alastair MacDougall Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Beautiful Scottish historical romance! CAMERON is the first book that I read written by Lane McFarland! It’s a great debut for her series The Daughters of Alastair MacDougall, four independent and headstrong young MacDougall’s sisters, Cameron, Lindsey, Heather and Elsbeth. War and feuds between their surroundings clans have always been part of their lives. This time, it’s the story of Cameron, the clan healer who meets the charming warrior Robert Graham. Both seek peace, but an attack occurs, and Robert holds her father responsible and therefore decides to kidnap Cameron. But, little did he know, that love will be in the air for those two. Nice chemistry and beautiful attraction between a bold young woman and a laird with a sense of humor. You will enjoy following their journey! Looking forward to read the next book which we be Heather’s story!
