Cameron Mytum's Wings
Cameron Mytum is just your average, everyday 12 year old boy who spends most of his time on the PlayStation eating chips and dippy fried eggs and disagreeing with his parents who treat him with the same indifference usually shown to a pet goldfish. When Cameron's beloved Nanna dies, he reluctantly inherits her demented sausage dog, Saracen which he accidentally bought for her as a birthday present - instead of the material draught excluder type of sausage dog, stuffed full of old ladies tights and won by unfortunate people on tombolas that she had actually wanted. Whilst at Nanna's funeral wake, Cameron and Saracen are visited by her ghost who tells them their assistance is needed before she can earn her angel wings; they must accompany her to the Land of Lost Everything where every unclaimed item in the universe has been archived and all immortals such as dragons, vampires, skelassassins and witches have been banished to rescue Stephan, the dragon prince, who has been kidnapped by Dragora, a lovesick dragon who intends to forcibly take him as her husband and become Queen. Prince Stephan's father, King Michelmus has decreed that if his son is not safely returned by the 3rd sunset then war will be declared and the Earth Portal separating immortal and mortal realms will open, allowing all immortals to return to Earth and reclaim their old territories. Cameron wonders how a boy, not yet 13 and incapable of growing a moustache can possibly save the world accompanied by a demented sausage dog (not the material kind) and his dead grandparent.
