The county of Carmarthenshire has an impressive military history and heritage which stretches back into the Iron Age. Following Celtic settlement, this part of South West Wales witnessed Roman occupation, Viking raids and Norman and English invasion. About the Author

Dean Hollands is a local and military historian who served in the Army and Surrey Police. He conducts guided tours of World War I and II battlefields in Europe and is an associate member of the Guild of Battlefield Guides. He was also a researcher and volunteer at Aldershot Military Museum.
